Completed in 2009, this 103,000 square foot building is the centerpiece of the college campus. It houses classrooms, offices, a café, the library, a gallery, and large open forum. Sloping terrain, offset levels, large openings in the floor plates, and irregular geometries created numerous structural challenges.

URI Library Addition

Addition to the main library for the University of Rhode Island that was also engineered by A. W. Lookup. The addition brings the library’s capacity to 1.5 million volumes and provides 465 new study spaces, ten group study rooms, and 26 individual research / study rooms.
Salve Regina College Library

Three-story, 70,000 square foot concrete framed library that provides space for 230,000 volumes and a state-of-the-art computer network and fiber optic information system. The granite clad façade and copper roofs match the style of the surrounding gothic-revival architecture.
